On any day
The gigantic facility located 42 kilometeres outside of Moscow features lots of military history of Russian and a large display of assorted weapon systems from the early 1900s up to the present day cutting edge pieces.
We suggest that you start your visit with the interactive "1418 Steps Down the Memory Lane" museum depicting in detail how the Second World unfolded for the Soviet Union right from June, 1941 to the hard-earned Victory of 1945. You will be immersed in the many halls describing the struggle, losses, bravery and victories of Soviet people in the 1418 days that the war lasted for soldiers and civilians alike.
The museum area includes a park with monuments to all allies of the Soviet Army in that great war, and a uniquely designed Cathedral of the Armed Forces that differs a big deal from the regular Orthodox Christian places of worship.
Moving on to the main weapons exhibition site, you will see dozens of tanks, planes, howitzers and other equipment lined up for display.
A great chance to learn the history of Russian arms systems, snap some great pictures, and have fun with training cabins for tank drivers and helicopter pilots!
You can have lunch and/or coffee in the Park as well, the guide will gladly assist you with navigating to the cafe (or street food kiosks).
(IF SPECIFICALLY REQUSTED) Another neat place we can recommend is the Kubinka tank hall , located in 10 km from the main Patriot Park grounds, includes unique pieces like the German "Maus" tank from the 1940s, largest in the world to this day! The must-see for armoured vehicle enthusiasts!
